Foluke Adeboye Food Poison

Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a shocking story of how poisoned food meant for her family ended up killing their dog.

In a recent video message to members of the church, the 77-year-old cleric recounted how her family narrowly escaped tragedy on a New Year’s Day when she decided not to serve a suspicious meal brought into their home.

According to her, the food was delivered as one of many New Year gifts. However, she suddenly felt uneasy about it and instructed her staff to give it to the dogs instead.

She said, “Somebody on one of the New Year Day brought food to our house. Of course, so many people had been coming in, going, and eating. I just entered into the kitchen and asked who owned this food. They said a person brought it. I looked at the food and asked them to give it to the dogs.”

Foluke added that a visitor from London who witnessed her decision was visibly surprised.

“One woman who came from London was looking at me, and she almost abused me but because I’m a mother that’s why she couldn’t abuse me immediately. But in an hour’s time, the gateman brought the news that the dog has died,” she narrated.

She explained that the discovery left everyone shocked, adding that the outcome would have been devastating if the family had eaten the poisoned food.

“Imagine that on a New Year Day somebody in the house of Daddy G.O ate that food, or about three or four people ate it. What will be the news?” she asked.

Using the incident as a lesson, she urged worshippers to always be spiritually alert and cautious, especially when receiving gifts during festive periods.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Foluke have been married since 1967 and are blessed with three children.
