A Ghanaian teacher has stirred massive reactions online after publicly appealing to the Minister of Education to introduce a “self-control allowance” for male teachers, claiming it has become increasingly difficult to stay focused while teaching teenage girls.

In a now-viral video shared by @mayfred on X (formerly Twitter), the unidentified teacher humorously lamented that female students are now “too fine and tempting,” suggesting that male teachers deserve compensation for maintaining discipline and professionalism.

“Minister of Education, I stand for my colleagues because we teachers deserve a self-control allowance,” he said. “Looking at these young girls nowadays, we’re suffering. Imagine being a teacher without self-control, will you just let them go like that?”
