Hip-Hop Tension As Odumodublvck Says He’s Lost Respect For ‘Short Man Devil’ MI Abaga
By Benjamin Abioye
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has stirred controversy after publicly attacking veteran hip-hop star MI Abaga, accusing him of hypocrisy and claiming he no longer respects him.
In a strongly-worded post shared on social media, Odumodublvck alleged that MI deliberately stayed “on the fence” during a sensitive situation, describing him as someone who portrays himself as a “good guy” while avoiding taking a stand.
“@MI_Abaga AS FOR YOU. THE WHOLE WORLD ARE GOING TO BE SO SHOCKED THAT I AM TALKING TO YOU LIKE THIS… I DON’T CARE ABOUT PUBLIC OPINION UNLIKE YOU,” he wrote.
Odumodublvck continued, “YOU STOOD IN FRONT OF A BLATANT LIE AND DECIDED TO SIT ON THE FENCE… I HAVE LOST EVERY IOTA OF RESPECT FOR YOU… SHORT MAN DEVIL. YOU NO BE MY OG… I BET YOU WONT REPLY BECAUSE I AM SAYING THE TRUTH.”
The outburst immediately triggered a wave of reactions across social platforms, with many fans expressing disappointment and urging the rapper to address grievances through music instead of public confrontations.

@Wisdommude: “We are here for music, not tweets. Enter studio; let’s see who is the Super Eagle.”
@SoulXtra100: “You’re a rapper—put it on wax, not capital letters.”
While some fans defended Odumodublvck’s right to “speak his truth,” others warned him that targeting MI — widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential hip-hop figures — could harm his career.
Several commenters also referenced the rapper’s recent feud with Blaqbonez, questioning why he continues to address peers online instead of responding through rap tracks.
As of press time, MI Abaga has not publicly responded to the remarks.
Odumodublvck, known for his boisterous style and outspoken personality, has been a prominent voice in Nigeria’s new-age rap scene. MI Abaga, a pioneer of Nigerian hip-hop, is credited for mentoring and spotlighting younger artists over the years.
Observers say the situation highlights growing tensions within the rap community over respect, legacy, and the culture of public confrontation versus lyrical combat.
For now, fans await whether this sparks a studio-based battle — or ends as another social-media flare-up.
