Award-winning Nigerian singer Waje has stirred public debate after reiterating that she received no payment or credit for her vocals on P-Square’s hit song Do Me, leading to a flood of mixed reactions from Nigerians online.

During a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast hosted by Daddy Freeze, the vocalist, who delivered the iconic hook on the 2007 classic, restated that she got neither compensation nor acknowledgment for her contribution, a claim that has resurfaced conversations about treatment of supporting artistes in the Nigerian music industry.
