Blessing CEO Defends Rita Daniels Amid Regina Daniels’ Marital Crisis (Video)

Popular relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has come to the defence of Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, as Nigerians continue to drag her over her daughter’s troubled marriage to billionaire politician, Ned Nwoko.

Since reports of Regina’s marital issues surfaced online, many social media users have accused Rita Daniels of “selling off” her daughter to an older, polygamous man for wealth and fame. But Blessing CEO wasn’t having any of that.

In a fiery Instagram video, she slammed Nigerians who keep blaming Rita, arguing that many young women, like Regina, often make their own choices regardless of parental advice.

“Can we stop this rubbish ‘Na the mama I blame’? Can you shut up!” she fumed. “At what age did you become a rebel? At what age did you start sneaking out of the house to go see a man? At what age did you get pregnant or start running out of the house?”

Blessing CEO went on to share her own personal experience, recalling how she ignored her parents’ warnings when she decided to marry young.

“At the age of 15, I no dey hear word. My parents flogged me to stupor. When I decided to go into marriage, my mother begged me. My father woke me up by 3 a.m. and was pleading with me not to marry. He asked me, ‘What is it that a man will give you that I can’t?’ But I still didn’t listen,” she said.

According to her, children often make emotional or poor decisions that parents cannot always control. She insisted that Rita Daniels should not be blamed for her daughter’s marital choices.

Blessing also took a swipe at those mocking Regina for reportedly speaking out about her marriage troubles, describing Nigerians as hypocritical for encouraging women to leave abusive relationships but turning around to ridicule them when they do.
