Anambra’s only female governorship candidate, Chioma Grace Ifemeludike, has once again set social media abuzz, this time, over her lighthearted interaction with the state governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on X (formerly Twitter).
The African Action Congress (AAC) candidate, who has been trending recently for her lively campaign dance to an Awilo song, shared a brief moment she had with Governor Soludo, who is also seeking re-election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
In her post, Chioma revealed that Soludo had teasingly commended her dancing skills. She wrote:
“Between I and Governor of Anambra state @CCSoludo Governor: Nne, I saw you dancing in a campaign video, you’re a good dancer. I replied: Yes Your Excellency, I’m actually good in many other things, especially Leadership.

The playful exchange quickly caught the attention of netizens, many of whom praised Chioma for her confidence and wit. Some users hailed her as a breath of fresh air in Anambra politics, while others joked that she had “out-danced” the competition
Read some netizens’ reactions below;
@emefactor: If Anambra people truly knows what they want, they did vote Chioma @ife_dike but obviously she and @aacparty don’t have money for bribe so they won’t be voting her but sadly she will be the best thing Anambra could ask for. Don’t let people deceive you guys.We did warn bout 2023
@enchris15: The bow was completely needless! Stand toe to toe with anybody in that contest. It’s within your right
@chinedum: You missed the chance to tell him that he is good at ịkọ ọnụ. Since he came to yab you
This comes on the heels of her viral campaign video where she was seen dancing energetically to an Awilo song, a performance that drew both admiration and criticism online. While many lauded her for bringing vibrancy and charisma into her campaign, others felt her style was too casual for someone seeking political office.
Unfazed by the mixed reactions, the actress-turned-politician has continued to use her growing popularity to promote messages of integrity and transparent governance. In another campaign video, Chioma urged voters to reject vote buying and political intimidation, insisting that leadership should be about service, not self-interest.
“I know it’s tough, but I’m not intimidated,” she had said. “We must choose credible and innovative leaders who care about people, not corrupt or nepotistic ones who only think of their pockets.”
As the November 8 Anambra governorship election draws closer, Ifemeludike’s blend of boldness, humor, and authenticity is keeping her firmly in the spotlight and as her latest exchange with Governor Soludo shows, she’s not afraid to mix grace with guts on her political journey.
