Maintain Status Quo On Positive Identification, Court Tells Army
Court has ordered that the operation Positive Identification organised by the Nigerian Army across the country should be halted pending the determination of motion brought before it.
Femi Falana, SAN human rights lawyer had filed a suit challenging the constitutional powers of the Army to embark on Operation Positive Identification
Falana in the suit contended that such activity is a breach of the rights of Nigerians to move around the country without being subjected to harassment.
The proper hearing of the suit has been slated for November 18, 2019.
