Heavy Security Presence As PDP Gov Aspirants Arrive For Screening In Rivers

There is heavy security presence at the zonal secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Port Harcourt, as screening of aspirants for the governorship is underway.

Aspirants from Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross River, and Edo states are already at the venue which is the party’s zonal secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.

A myriad of security operatives, including the police, DSS, mobile police and mounted the entrance, as proper identification was demanded before even the media were allowed in.

Some of the governorship aspirants from Rivers State seen are the former state chairman of the PDP, Felix Obuah, Senator Lee Maeba, former Transport Minister, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, and David Briggs among others.
