Six FUTA Students Involved In Assault Barred From Second Semester Exams
The six students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA who were seen in a viral video molesting a fellow student have been excluded from the second-semester examinations that have commenced in the institution.
Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo, the school’s deputy director of corporate communication who disclosed this in an interview said the exclusion from the examination was the immediate reaction before they appear before a probe panel of the university that is to be constituted by the vice-chancellor on the issue.
Mr. Adebanjo also disclosed that the victim of the assault is already recuperating and is not believed to be in immediate danger.
“Two wrongs do not make a right. The students will still face a panel, it is the panel’s recommendations that will now guide the vice-chancellor in his final recommendations,” he told TVC’s Your View Programme.
“The second-semester examination is already going on and they have been precluded.”
