Ansu Fati, the 17-year-old Guinea Bissau born Barcelona prodigy has become the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history.

His goal in the match against Inter Milan on Tuesday was scored at the age of 17 years, 40 days. It beat the previous record held by Olympiacos striker Peter Ofori-Quaye. The Ghanaian was only 17 years, 195 days when he made his Champions League strike against Rosenborg.

Remarkably, Fati’s goal was scored in the 87th minute just a minute after he came in as a substitute in the match that has now consigned Inter Milan to the Europa League.
