2023: Lies Fabricated Against Me, To Whittle My Popularity – Hakeem Dickson
Lagos State governorship candidate of Accord Hon Hakeem Dickson has said lies fabricated against him are due to his rising popularity and quintessential profile in the forth coming election.
Mr. Dickson said some people were not comfortable with his populist disposition making them to have sleepless nights and unnecessary worries.
He noted that the truth will always prevail, adding that the fabricated lies would not stand the test of time, as they would collapse like a pack of cards.
He said every effort to tarnish his image due to his increasing popularity amongst Lagosians would meet a brick wall.
The governorship hopeful who spoke at a media parley, said, he had never been convicted for any crime in the United States of America or any other part of the world, stressing that he is a law abiding citizen of global reputation.
The former chairman of Surulere local government, who spoke for the first time to clear the speculations on the allegation said, he never knew that the chairs in his home in the United States of America, ( USA) which he bought from a second party, were bought with a stolen credit card.
Speaking further, Hakeem Dickson said, investigation was carried out, ‘those involved were apprehended, the judge discovered l was innocent. The law took it course, just as it’s done in developed countries.
He said, ‘yes, there was a case of the chairs l bought as a third party, never knew they were bought with a stolen credit card. investigations were rightly carried out and the culprits were apprehended, that does not make me a thief, or a fraudulent person.
‘It could have happened to any honest and responsible person. My political detractors decided to make a story of it as soon as l won the Lagos State primary for my party,’ Hakeem Dickson.
