We Don’t Talk Often, Davido Speaks On Rift With Burna Boy

Nigerian singer, Davido has disclosed his relationship with his colleague, Burna Boy is very fragile as they don’t speak often. 

He said they were on good terms but they “don’t really talk” to each other.

Davido said this while recently while featuring on Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot 97FM, New York, USA.

Speaking on unity among Afrobeats artists, Davido said, “Afrobeats [artists] we are in unity. I spoke to Burna [Boy]. He called me. He calls me as well but we’ve not really spoken like that.

Asked whether he plans to resolve his issues with Burna Boy, Davido said, “I think I definitely would. He [Burna Boy] called me. Wiz [Kid] called me. And funny enough, me and Burna used to be mad close. Very very close.”

Recall that the relationship between Davido and Burna Boy went sour in 2020, which resulted in a series of disagreements between the two.

The duo reportedly clashed and exchanged blows in a Ghanaian club.

Speaking of the incident, Davido said, “Funny enough, it wasn’t even us. It was our people [team]. It was crazy because it didn’t even involve us.”
