Guinea International Naby Keita To Leave Liverpool On Free Transfer

Captain of the Guinea national team Naby Keita will leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of season, after the club failed to renew his contract.
The midfielder has faced various injury setbacks over the past few years but has struggled ultimately this season featuring just 11 times across all competitions.
In what has been a Topsy-Turvy season for the Reds, injuries in all departments especially in midfield has been the underlining factor for their decline in performance. New signing Arthur from Juventus is yet to play a single game this season, 18-year-old Stefan Bajcetic has been ruled out of the season, while veteran Thiago will be back from injury at the end of the campaign.
However, with Keita’s contract expiring this summer, it has been confirmed that he will leave on a free transfer. Signed from RB Leipzig for over £65 million in 2018, Naby Keita won the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Community Shield, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup with Liverpool.
The youngster will make the move to Stamford Bridge in 2025, with the Blues reaching an agreement with the Ecuadorian club. The attacking midfielder is just 15 years old and cannot make the move to the Premier League side until he turns 18. He has already featured in three league matches for Independiente this season, scoring once.
11th placed Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign 15-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle in a deal worth up to €20 million.
