‘You Have A Wicked Heart,’ BBNaija Star, Maria Benjamin Faces New Criticism Over Pregnancy

Former Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate, Maria Chike Benjamin on Friday night revealed that she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Kelvin and with it stoking mixed reactions from the general public over the pregnancy.

The former reality TV show star, posted a video of her baby bump dressed in an evening dress that showed her baby bump.

Maria Benjamin said:

“I have longed for you from an early age as I can ever remember. You came when I didn’t know that I needed you the most. Since we have been sharing this magical experience you have made me so alive since the first day I heard your heartbeat.

“I may be birthing you, but God has given you life and I pray you will walk in His path all your life.

“I pray you will be God’s best creature ever created.

“If I were to ask you for anything my child, please know that I will not be perfect, so I ask for your forgiveness and patience while I do my very best to be your mother.

“This chapter is called Blessed. With our hearts filled with so much love and happiness, we can’t wait to meet you,” Maria Benjamin Chike said while announcing her pregnancy.

Since posting the video, fans and celebrities have congratulated her on her pregnancy while wishing her a safe delivery. 

However, amidst the outpouring of love, other caustic reactions from some social media users berated fans for congratulating Maria Benjamin who was previously embroiled in a side chick drama with the father of her baby over the pregnancy.

Recall that Maria Chike had revealed that she was not aware that her boyfriend Kelvin Anene, a former in-law of Cubana Chief Priest was married when they initially started talking.

Cubana Chief Priest had in 2021 accused Maria of having an affair with his sister’s husband, claiming it led to their divorce.
