Ihonvbere Reps Leader

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Richard Lamai has congratulated Professor Julius Ihonvbere on his emergence as the 10th House of Representatives Majority Leader today.

The party Chieftain who described the election as a ‘Refreshing Dawn’ for APC in Edo and South-South politics said, Professor Ihonvbere has all it takes to help Mr. President to drive home his ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ for Nigeria.

Lamai noted that Ihonvbere is bringing his huge experiences as former Special Adviser to the President, former Secretary to the State Government and ranking lawmaking status to bear in this new assignment as leader of the house.

The party leader called on Nigerians to continue to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he rolls out his government’s plans for the overall recovery of the country in the coming days.

GWG.ng reports that Professor Ihonvbere who first served in the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration as special adviser on project monitoring becomes the second politician from Edo State to occupy the position of House Leader. He followed in the steps of Hon Tunde Akogun who was House Leader between 2007 and 2011.

Governor Godwin Obaseki has meanwhile yet to issue a statement on the emergence of Ihonvbere as House Leader.
