Dr Ngozi Olejeme, former Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), on Saturday drummed support for the Delta Ministerial nominee Mrs Stella Okotete.

This was contained in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, by Mr Benjamin Atu, her media aide.

Olejeme who appealed to the people of Delta to rally support for one of their own, described the nominee as God-fearing.

She said that rather than attacking and criticising her in the media, the nominee should be appraised based on her numerous potentials and skills.

According to her, Okotete’s wisdom and experience will help steer Delta and the nation to a successful destination.

“We have a long way to go but her nomination and hopefully appointment, will certainly made a good start,” Olejeme said.

Olejeme who was also a former gubernatorial aspirant in Delta, further called on those behind the attacks to please sheathe their sword and forgive every personal grievance against the nominee.

She said that nobody was perfect in life except God.

“Our common goal should be how to bring the dividends of democracy to Delta and Nigerians at large,” Olejeme said in drumming support for Okotete who has been accused of forgery among other misdemeanours.

She frowned at the division among the people of Delta and appealed to them to put aside every human weakness and work together for the common good of the state and its people.

Olejeme called on the ministerial nominee to remain focused and steadfast, adding that “we have lots of work ahead of us and it will be glorious on us to unite to achieve results.” (NAN)
