Nigerian Man Kills 2-Year-Old Daughter, Buries Her In Shallow Grave After Drinking Beer

In a tragic incident that has shocked the community of Rigi in Ga’anda District, Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State, a man identified as Ayuba Danbaki has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his 2-year-old daughter and burying her in a shallow grave after a binge of beer.

The father’s actions were reportedly fueled by anger after his former wife left the child with him at a local drinking joint.

According to police sources, Ayuba Danbaki had been drinking beer at the local joint when the child’s mother, Shiyona Ali, dropped off their daughter, Tamar Ayuba, at around 8:00 pm. Allegedly tired of caring for the child, Shiyona Ali decided to leave her with Ayuba Danbaki. Enraged by this, Ayuba Danbaki took the child into the bush, tied her neck with a rope, and buried her in a shallow grave.

When questioned about his heinous actions, Ayuba Danbaki admitted to the crime, claiming that his anger over his former wife’s decision drove him to commit this unthinkable act. He expressed remorse for his actions, emphasizing the negative impact of alcohol on one’s behavior. He urged others to refrain from drinking beer, as it can lead to regrettable consequences.

The spokesperson of the police command, SP Nguroje, confirmed the incident and announced that the Commissioner of Police, CP Babatola Afolabi, had directed that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation. The suspect, Ayuba Danbaki, is set to be arraigned in court to face appropriate charges.

The community and authorities are grappling with the shock of this horrific crime of the man who killed his daughter because of beer as they seek justice for the innocent child.
