Black Sunday For Nigerian Football As Enyimba, Remo Stars Crash Out Of CAF Champions League

Nigeria’s two CAF Champions League flagbearers, Enyimba and Remo Stars were on Sunday dumped out of the competition.

GWG.ng reports that Enyimba were held 0-0 by Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi in Aba after losing 4-3 in the first leg held in the North African country.

Nigeria’s other representative in the tournament, Remo Stars after pulling back on the 0-1 they lost to Medeama SC of Ghana to produce a 1-1 aggregate lost out in the penalty shoot out.

The Nigerian team lost 2-3 in the penalty shootout.
