Promise Wosu Junior’s Feat Earns Him Plots of Land and Praise from Rivers State Governor
In a remarkable achievement, Promise Wosu Junior, a young man from Omudioga in Emohua local government, Rivers state, completed a challenging 5-day walk from the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos to Port Harcourt.
His ambitious journey, covering a staggering distance of approximately 350 kilometers, was aimed at setting a Guinness World Record and promoting a positive image of his state and country.
Promise Wosu’s feat captured widespread attention and support, leading to his triumphant arrival in Port Harcourt on October 21. After his trek, he promptly underwent a thorough medical check-up and well-deserved rest.
His determination did not go unnoticed, as he was warmly welcomed back by Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who commended Promise for his courage and resilience. In recognition of his remarkable achievement, Promise was generously rewarded with plots of land, a token of appreciation for his dedication to the marathon and his efforts in promoting the state and nation.
