Seasoned PR Expert Hakama Sidi Ali Takes The Helm As CBN’s Fresh Voice
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has designated Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, a seasoned Public Relations practitioner and member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), as its Acting Director of Corporate Communications.
This appointment follows the replacement of Dr. Abdulmumini Isa in the role. Mrs. Sidi Ali brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Deputy Director in the same department at the apex bank.
The NIPR, advocating against the appointment of non-professionals and quacks as official spokespersons, has long championed the cause. Mrs. Sidi Ali’s appointment aligns with the institute’s objective of promoting professionalism in communication roles within government agencies, individuals, and corporate organizations.
Educationally, Mrs. Sidi Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), graduating in 1992. Additionally, she possesses an MSc in Mass Communication and a PGDE in English Language. Her academic qualifications underscore her expertise in the field.
In addition to her NIPR membership, Mrs. Sidi Ali is affiliated with prestigious professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management (CILRM), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), Africa Development Studies Centre (ADSC), and Toastmasters International, among others. This diverse professional background reflects her commitment to continuous development and excellence in her career.
