The Supreme Court by a majority decision on Friday dismissed the application by the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the review of the judgment in the case brought by the Senator Kabiru Marafa led faction of the party in the state.

The Marafa faction had inspired the court action that led to the party’s disqualification from all elective positions in the state by the apex court last year.

Justice Inyang Okoro in the lead judgment described the application as vexatious, frivolous and a gross abuse of court process.

The court as such awarded the cost of N2m to be paid by the applicant to the 1st to 140th respondents.

Justice Okoro affirmed that the Supreme Court lacks the jurisdiction to review its own judgment which it said was final and cannot be reviewed.

Justice Centus Nweze, however, countered and in his minority judgment upheld the application saying that the court must be bold enough to admit when it makes an error.
