Peter Obi Reaches Out to Nigerian Boy Who Broke Record for Longest Painting Marathon

Peter Obi has penned a congratulatory message to  Chancellor Ahagotu, a Nigerian art student who broke a  decade-old Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon after painting for 100 consecutive hours.

Obi stated, “This is yet another gratifying story coming out of a troubled nation marred by successive leadership failure and poor direction for her numerous young talents.

” I congratulate the young talented student for this achievement which is an obvious attestation of his hard work, resilience, and commitment to his art.

” I encourage him, and other Nigerian youths to continue to walk the path of hard work and self-development which will equip them with the necessary skills to attain greater heights in life. Ahaghotu’s exceptional feat clearly strengthens our belief in a New Nigeria that is possible”.

In response, Maestro commented through his X handle, “Now, this is a Nigerian well deserving of all the accolades and gifts possible.”

In a rather humorous response, Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon noted,

“@PeterObi you have my magnus respectus for the miridical initiatives you’ve offered Nigerian youths. You’ve fostered auspicious, anterograde trajectories for many immiserated people. Poverty is a corrigendum, and your altruistic cum amative efforts to ameliorate it are laudable.”

The commendation from Obi came after the World Guinness Book of Records confirmed Chancellor Ahagotu to have broken the record of longest painting.

A statement on its X handle reads: “After painting for 100 consecutive hours, Nigerian art student Chancellor Ahaghotu has broken a decade-old record for the longest painting marathon.

“Chancellor, a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, far surpassed the previous record of 60 hours, set by Roland Palmaerts (Belgium/Canada) in 2013.”

“I came to the United States to pursue my dreams and build up my career as a recognized artist,” Chancellor told us before embarking on his record attempt.

 “Breaking the record will boost my recognition as an artist both in my school and the world at large.”
