Osimhen Sparks Patriotism As Nigerians Urge Politicians (Videos)

A viral video of Nigerian football player, Victor Osimhen, celebrating after his team’s win over South Africa at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) games has sparked love and admiration for the football player and Nigerians at large.

The video which Osimhen shared on his Instagram official handle captured the player in high spirits of celebration, dancing to a song while cracking jokes with his team members in English and Yoruba language.

Many Nigerians took to their Instagram handles to react to the video.

Nigeria defeated South Africa on penalties in the semi-final clash at the Stade de la Bouake on Wednesday, February 7, to advance to the final stage with Ivory Coast.

The match was decided on penalties after 120 minutes of football ended 1-1 with both nations scoring in the second half.

The Super Eagles scored four of their penalties while Bafana Bafana missed two of theirs.
