Lagos Suffers First COVID-19 Mortality

Lagos State on Saturday morning announced the first COVID-19 mortality in its care.

The State Commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi announced the development in a tweet saying that the deceased was a returnee from Holland.

Until now, the state had boasted of a 100% survival rate of all COVID-19 patients in its care. All the other patients who died of the disease reportedly died before they reached the state’s facilities.
