Why EFCC Arrested Buhari’s Powerful Minister And Nephew

In it’s latest assertion against corruption, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, in connection with an ongoing investigation bordering on money laundering amounting to N8,069,176,864.00.

GWG.ng understands that the embattled ex-Minister of Aviation who served under the former president Muhammadu Buhari regime, appeared at the EFCC’s Federal Capital Territory Command around 1:00 pm on Tuesday.

GWG.ng reports that Sirika is presently being interrogated by EFCC investigators regarding alleged fraudulent contracts he authorized for a company called Engirios Nigeria Limited, which is owned by his younger sibling, Abubakar Sirika.

Sirika is a nephew of President Buhari and was acclaimed as about the most powerful minister in the two terms of the former president.
