Burnley have been relegated from the Premier League after 2-1 defeat at Tottenham putting a hiatus to manager Vincent Kompany’s illustrious sweet ride from accomplishing player to manager.

GWG.ng reports that Luton are also on the brink following 3-1 loss to West Ham – Hatters three points adrift with worse goal difference

Former Brighton striker, Glenn Murray commenting after Burnley was relegated told Final Score:

“Relegation has been a long time coming. I think the one positive for Burnley is that there won’t be much change to the squad. They’ll be going into the Championship really strong and for me out of who we expect to be the three relegated teams they look the most likely to bounce back and have another go at the Premier League,

“They’ll be all the better for this season which has been a learning curve for them because they have gotten better. For the first 27 games they averaged 0.5 points per game and after that they averaged 1.2.”

Fara Williams, former England midfielder on Final Score said after Burnley was relegated said:

“Vincent Kompany said really early on that his squad of players weren’t quite Premier League players yet. It was going to be a journey for them throughout this season, they’re going to learn and develop and we’ve seen that.

“They’ve given it a really good go, I didn’t think a few weeks ago we’d sit here with a little bit of hope for them. I think they’ll bounce back.”
