Onanuga Hijacked! Twitter Alleges After Digging Up 1997 Story
A publication of The News, the news magazine once led by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on information and strategy, alleging that Gilbert Ramez Chagoury, a Nigerian-born Lebanese billionaire businessman hijacked Nigeria has brought up fresh controversy.
The lead report of the 1997 publication of the magazine had the bold headline, “The CHAGOURIS: HOW A FAMILY HIJACKED NIGERIA”.

However, in 2016, Onanuga departed from his first stance, tweeting on X, “Looking forward to a day when an Indian or Lebanese or Ghanaian will be elected council chairman in Lagos, to…”
The two contradictory statements from Onanuga are currently sparking reactions from netizens on X as to what the SA to the president really stands for.
