Police Nab Man Selling Body Parts In Abuja
Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police command have arrested one Nuhu Ezra of Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja after he was found in possession of human parts including a human skull and bones.
The command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh confirmed the development in a press statement obtained by GWG.ng on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Nuhu Ezra was arrested on Tuesday by operatives of the command attached to the Iddo police division after credible intelligence linked him to the human parts.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO said upon interrogation, the suspect confessed that he picked up the body parts from the bush while hunting at Kuje, stating that he had the intention to sell them for N600,000.
According to the statement, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh has ordered that a thorough investigation of Nuhu Ezra be conducted to ascertain the bearer of the human parts and the intended buyer.
The investigation is also to ascertain if the suspect “killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts, and how long the suspect has been in the alleged business”.
The CP urged residents to be wary of their environment and report suspicious activities to the police.
