The Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Lukman Anwo, has died leaving many party stalwarts including Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the senator representing Oyo South in shock.

GWG.ng reports that the news that Anwo died was made public on Saturday.

Anwo had previously served as the Chairman of the AFIJIO local government area.

His death has been met with profound sorrow from various quarters and particularly in his local government where he was a strong stakeholder.

In response to the news that Anwo had died, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, expressed deep grief.

Representing the Oyo South Senatorial District, Alli conveyed his sentiments through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas. He described Anwo’s death as a “rude shock.”

Alli said that Anwo’s passing is a significant loss not only to the APC but also to the state as a whole. He remarked, “Hon. Lukman Anwo was a man of integrity and unwavering commitment to the progress of our party and the development of his local government. His demise is a painful blow to all of us who knew and worked with him. He will be sorely missed.”
