Celebrities Say Amen As Rita Edochie Prays For Junior Pope’s Family On 10th Wedding Anniversary

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has offered heartfelt prayers for Jennifer Awele, the wife of the late actor Junior Pope, and their family.

Friday, July 26th, would have marked the 10th wedding anniversary of Junior Pope and Jennifer Awele but the actor tragically passed away in a boat accident in April, however, Rita Edochie did not forget the milestone.

Taking to her Instagram page, Rita Edochie expressed her sorrow and prayed for divine care for those the actor left behind.

Reflecting on what would have been a significant marital milestone, she reassured Jennifer that God’s reasons for everything must be trusted. Rita urged her followers to join her in praying for Jennifer, their children, and all departed souls.

“GOD, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE HE LEFT BEHIND. KAY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TWO OF YOU CELEBRATING YOUR 10TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, BUT JUNIOR POPE IS NOT THERE AGAIN. IN EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS MY DAUGHTER KAY, GOD ALMIGHTY HAS HIS REASONS. NO MUCH TALK, SO I DON’T START REMEMBERING FORGOTTEN WOUNDS. GREAT LOVERS OF RITA EDOCHIE, PLEASE JOIN ME AND SAY A WORD OF PRAYER FOR JUNIOR POPE’S WIFE AND HIS CHILDREN AND ALSO PRAY FOR ALL DEPARTED SOULS.”

Rita Edochie’s former In-law, May, also consoled Jennifer on this difficult day. She urged Jennifer to remain strong, assuring her that God would take charge and always be there for her.

Since Junior Pope’s passing, Rita has continuously paid tribute to him. She even chose not to celebrate her own birthday in April, dedicating the day to his memory. Rita mentioned that Junior Pope never missed her birthdays and acknowledged that his death has profoundly affected her like no other loss in Nollywood.
