A startling revelation has emerged from the “Say No To Protest” rally in Abuja, with participants alleging they were tricked into joining the counter-protest.

A video circulating on social media showed a distraught woman expressing her frustration and anger, claiming that she and others were misled about the true nature of the event.

Speaking in Hausa, the woman explained that they were lured to Abuja with promises of food items, only to find themselves unwittingly participating in a counter-protest against the upcoming “End Bad Governance” demonstration.

To add insult to injury, the organizers allegedly abandoned them without providing the promised food, water, transportation, or a stipend of 5,000 naira.

“We were deceived. We didn’t know we were coming to do a counter-protest,” the woman lamented. “They left us without money, food, water, and transport fare.”

This exposé has ignited widespread condemnation, with many questioning the ethics and intentions of the counter-protest organizers. The incident underscores the exploitation of vulnerable individuals for political purposes, leaving them stranded and unsupported.

As the nation braces for the highly anticipated “End Bad Governance” protest on August 1st, this revelation has added another layer of complexity to the already charged atmosphere.
