A voice note alleged to be that of an artisan apologizing to powerful Nigerian politician, Chris Uba, for an accusation he made against him earlier, has emerged on social media.

Earlier, a viral video showing Chris Uba, physically assaulting artisans who demanded payment after working for him in his London Home, surfaced on social media in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The video showed him arguing with artisans who claimed that he refused to pay them after they did work for him in his London home. The nature of the work and value of the debt was not stated.

GWG.ng reported that in the video one of the artisans was heard accusing Uba who was dressed in an orange T-Shirt of refusing to pay for the work they did in his house. He warned that Uba would be reported to the police.

In response, Uba was heard bellowing for them to leave his house and went further to try grabbing the camera being used to record the altercation. He was apparently unsuccessful

However, a few hours after the video went viral on Tuesday morning, the alleged voice note of the much elderly artisan apologizing to Chris Uba surfaced on social media.

A viral video captured Uba sitting in a cozy chair while he listened to the artisan’s alleged voice note.

According to the voice note, the artisan emphasized that he was the one who offended Uba and added that the Nigerian politician does not owe them any money.

The artisan said, “It’s me who did a video about Chris. We agreed to work for Chris, everything was going okay. Chris went to Nigeria and I had an issue with my wife, my wife was sick so I had to leave.

“So when Chris came back, I offended him, me not being here. I am supposed to be doing a job for him.

“Chris does not owe us any money, be did not hit anyone. Please disregard the video that I have done, I am sorry for the embarrassment.”

The development has since sparked reactions on social media. See some reactions gathered by GWG.ng:
