Former Oyo Governor Crowned Oba
Former Oyo State Governor, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja, who holds the title of Otun Olubadan, has been officially crowned as a ceremonial Oba, marking a significant step in his succession to the Olubadan throne.
The coronation of Ladoja as an Oba took place on Monday during a brief but symbolic ceremony at the newly established Olubadan Palace in Oke Aremo, Ibadan with some of the leading personalities in the state in attendance.
The announcement of Chief Ladoja’s acceptance of the crown was made public during a live radio broadcast in Ibadan, sparking a wave of celebrations among his supporters. Since the news broke, Ladoja’s residence in Bodija has been filled with well-wishers, including friends, family members, and political allies, who came to offer their congratulations and support.
The event attracted several high-profile guests, including Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the Asiwaju of Ibadanland Chief Bode Amao, and other prominent figures such as Chief Bayo Oyero, Chief Wole Akinwande, Yemisi Adeaga, and Niyi Ajewole.
