Former Senator Elisha Abbo has sparked controversy after revealing that Nigerian senators earn N29 million monthly, but he doesn’t consider it a significant amount of money.

Abbo clarified that when he served as a senator, his base salary was slightly over one million naira, but he took home a total of N14.4 million each month, including allowances.
