Nigerian singer Timaya has sparked controversy following his bold accusation against popular clergyman Apostle Johnson Suleman.
Taking to the microblogging platform X, Timaya didn’t hold back as he labeled, Apostle Johnson Suleman, who is adored by his followers as a “liar.”
In a post shared on his official page, the music star wrote, “Apostle Suleman too LIE,” a statement that quickly ignited a flurry of reactions across social media.
Remarkably, Timaya did not give reason for his post and Apostle Johnson Suleman who is set to mount the pulpit on the first day of the month has not bothered to issue a response. It is also not known if the revered man of God would be considering turning the other cheek as Jesus admonished His followers to do in such situations as in Matthew 5:39.
The remark has divided opinions among netizens, with some backing Timaya’s claim, while others have criticized the singer for making disparaging comments about a man of God.
