A secondary school dropout, Emeka Madu, has been arrested for producing fake malaria drugs in an uncompleted building located in Ikotun, Lagos State.

Emeka, along with several accomplices, was apprehended at the site where they were manufacturing and packaging the counterfeit medications intended for sale to unsuspecting Nigerians.

Authorities revealed that the production of these fake drugs had the potential to cause significant harm, endangering the lives of thousands who might unknowingly purchase and consume them. The raid on the illegal drug operation followed a tip-off from concerned residents who noticed suspicious activities at the building.

During his confession, Emeka disclosed that he learned the illegal trade from a friend who introduced him to the dangerous practice.
