Oyedepo Shares Touching Story Of His Humble Beginnings (Video)
Renowned Nigerian cleric, Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a personal story about the early beginnings in ministry, encouraging his congregation to be content with their current circumstances and trust in God’s plan.
Speaking during a church program, Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel) revealed that there was a time during his early beginnings when he and his wife lived in the office building of the church and had to share a single toilet with other church members.
Reflecting on those humble beginnings, Bishop Oyedepo explained how he would wake up as early as 5 a.m. just to have his bath before the other church members arrived. He described how, as the day broke, members of the church would also need to use the same toilet, so he had to plan his morning routine carefully to avoid the rush.

Despite the challenges, the cleric emphasized the importance of being joyful and content with whatever one has at any given time. He used his experience as a lesson in humility and gratitude, encouraging his congregation to remain steadfast, no matter how difficult their present situation may seem.
“Be happy with what you have,” Bishop Oyedepo urged. “The journey of life is a process, and God will always elevate those who are faithful and patient.”
GWG.ng reports that just last week, the renowned Bishop celebrated his 70th birthday, with the presence of prominent people within and outside Nigeria who came to celebrate with him. Oyedepo, in a way of showing appreciation, received two Rolls-Royce from an unidentified person to mark his birthday celebration.
