Phyna Delighting In Wizkid To Spite Davido

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna, has responded to the criticism she faced after publicly supporting Wizkid in his ongoing feud with fellow artist Davido.

For the past 24 hours, Wizkid has been taking jabs at Davido, accusing him of lacking talent and stating that he doesn’t engage in conflicts with people he considers beneath him. In a string of harsh comments, Wizkid even went as far as to curse Davido, adding that things wouldn’t go well for him.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Phyna expressed her allegiance to Wizkid, referring to him as her “father.” However, her support didn’t sit well with many fans, who took to her comment section to criticize her for always inserting herself into trending controversies.

Unfazed by the backlash, Phyna appeared to relish the attention her post supporting Wizkid received. In response, she tweeted, “The tears under this tweet are satisfying. Message well delivered.”

In another tweet, she humorously noted how her involvement in the situation had distracted Nigerians from the country’s ongoing issues, adding, “At least everybody mind don comot for our problems for Nigeria small. Una suppose Dey pay for this mental distraction from national predicaments wey I Dey do for una once. Anyways, una goodnight I get shoot for morning.”

This isn’t the first time Phyna has had a public fallout with Davido. Their strained relationship stems from when Davido publicly denied knowing the reality star and even liked a tweet that insulted Phyna’s fanbase. Reacting to the incident at the time, Phyna expressed her disappointment, questioning what she had done to deserve such treatment. However, she chose to see the situation as motivation to work harder, stating that, “God knows me.”

Later, Phyna took satisfaction in an old video that resurfaced, showing Davido upset about not being recognized by a US show promoter. She reposted a screenshot of Dammy Krane’s comments criticizing Davido for denying her, yet becoming upset when faced with a similar situation himself.

Phyna in her unapologetic stance of supporting Wizkid in the face off with Davido continues to stir conversation online, with the reality star showing no signs of backing down from the controversy.
