2027: Obidients Reject Kwankwaso, Insist On Datti

Obidients are saying no with near unanimity to the idea of Rabiu Kwankwaso running as deputy to Peter Obi insisting that Datti Ahmed is their man in 2027.

The prospect of Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso becoming running mate to Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election has been assailed by Obidients as rabid supporters of the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, are called.

GWG.ng reports that the prospects of the two political actors merging to confront the All Progressives Congress, APC in 2027 has been hailed by some political actors who see Kwankwaso as the entry path for Obi into Northern Nigeria.

That move, however, has been assailed by the APC.

GWG.ng reports that Obi got 6,101,533 votes in the 2023 presidential election compared to the 1,496,687 votes that Kwankwaso obtained and all, mostly from Kano State.

Reacting to the jostling for a merger of forces to square up to the APC, Kwankwaso had recently given his indication to deputise Peter Obi for the 2027 election.

He said, “I’m bigger than Peter Obi politically, I’m his elder brother, I’m a PhD holder, I performed better than him when I was a governor of my state. I’ve no problem with deputising Peter Obi, but only if certain conditions are met.

“We are willing to engage in discussions, provided that trust is established.”

However, the suggestion is being flayed by Obidients who are asking that Datti Ahmed be retained given what they claim that they won the 2023 election and were only rigged out.

I guess even God won forgive PO & the Obidients if we betray Datti loyalty to us. Man almost took a bullet for us in 2023. an was insulted & called all manner of names,even his family wasn’t spared, cuz he agreed to work with PO & Obidients.PO is not Atiku. We won’t betray Datti.
