Man Nabbed Trying To Sell Employer’s Car

The Lagos Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Ada Joseph for trying to sell the vehicle of his former boss.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who were acting on intelligence on Wednesday around 11 a.m.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Lagos Police Command on its official X handle on Friday.

According to the statement, Ada stole the former boss’s Toyota Camry, 2015 model from where it was parked in Osapa, London, Lekki, Lagos around 7:00 a.m.

Providing further details, the police revealed that the suspect, by 11:00 a.m. was in Alausa Central Business District to sell the vehicle to a willing buyer.

The suspect, the police added, had been fired by his employer sometime in June 2024 after a year of working with him.

“Unknown to the boss, Ada, his driver had hatched a plan and duplicated the car key,” the statement added.
