Suspense As NASU Dangles Strike Notice
Academic activities in Nigerian universities may face a shutdown soon, as the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Other Associated Institutions (NASU) has issued a warning on resuming its suspended strike.
The union has accused the Federal Government of not paying its members four months of accrued salaries.
Prince Peters Adeyemi, the General Secretary of NASU, shared this information with reporters on Wednesday during the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja. While he did not give a specific date for when the strike might start, it is expected that the NEC will make a decision on this issue during their ongoing discussions.
