Ballon d’Or Winner, Rodri Says ‘I Am Just An Ordinary Guy’

Manchester City player Rodrigo Hernández Cascante better known as Rodri  Rodri has won the 2024 Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious award in male football GWG.ng reports.

Speaking at the occasion he said he was just an ordinary guy.

His feat came after helping his club win the 2023/24 Premier League title and Spain triumph at Euro 2024.

The award was unveiled by 1995 winner, George Weah, the immediate past president of Liberia.

He was helped up on stage by Didier Drogba following injury he received last season.

Aitana Bonmati won the women’s award for second successive year while Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez was also recognised as world’s best goalkeeper for second year in row.
