RCCG Homosexuality evidence

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has suspended Pastor Ayorinde AdeBello and Deacon Oke Mayowa due to allegations of homosexuality involving young members of the Church.

This action follows a report by an Instagram blogger who called out both individuals for alleged homosexual behavior within the Church and at the national level.

An internal memo, dated October 28, 2024, and referenced as RCCG/NO/s.04/13/vol.1, was sent to the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration. It was titled “Investigation and Suspension Regarding Allegations of Homosexuality.” The memo stated that the Church’s doctrine does not permit or accept any acts of homosexuality.

The Church has instructed the Special Assistant to thoroughly investigate these allegations within two weeks. This memo, signed by RCCG National Overseer Pastor Sunday Akande, was also shared with all national departments within the Church. It emphasized that the situation should be handled carefully and with integrity, in line with the Church’s values.

Additionally, the Church has directed Pastor AdeBello to step down from all his positions due to the seriousness of the allegations. The memo underlined that any predatory behavior toward individuals to whom the Church has a duty of care is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated if the allegations are proven true.
