JUST IN: New Ministers Arrive At Aso Rock For Swearing-In Ceremony
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s newly appointed ministers and their families have arrived at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja for their swearing-in ceremony.
GWG.ng recalls that the Senate approved the nominees last week after a thorough screening process.
These new ministers were appointed as part of a cabinet reshuffle by President Tinubu, who responded to calls for changes in his administration. In this reshuffle, he dismissed five ministers, nominated seven new ones, and reassigned ten others to different roles.
As reported, the ministerial nominees are currently seated in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, where they are waiting for the ceremony to begin. Although the Chamber is not fully occupied yet, more ministers and dignitaries are expected to join the event.
Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesman, confirmed in a statement that the swearing-in ceremony would take place on Monday. He listed the new ministers, including Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who will serve as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as the Minister of Labour and Employment, and Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Other nominees include Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha as the Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as the Minister of State for Education.
