Nigerian Lady Infected With HIV By Boyfriend Who Hid His Status (Video)
A lady has uncovered her boyfriend’s HIV-positive status after months of being misled about his health condition.
The discovery came after a conversation about medication led to a shocking revelation.
The lady, who had been in a relationship with her boyfriend for 11 months, became concerned after noticing him taking a medication she didn’t recognize. Seeking advice, she contacted a health consultant, who identified the medication as ‘lamivudine’, an antiviral drug commonly used to treat HIV.
The boyfriend had told his partner that the medication was for a “hole in his heart,” but the health consultant was immediately suspicious. “That doesn’t sit right,” she said, prompting her to ask more questions about the boyfriend’s health. When the lady confirmed that he had no known conditions like hepatitis, the consultant grew increasingly concerned.
The boyfriend’s story didn’t add up, especially when the lady revealed that he did not take the medication daily, as would be expected for HIV treatment. “Does he take this drug every day? Because when you take it every day, your viral load decreases,” the consultant asked. The lady confirmed he didn’t.
The consultant expressed disbelief, questioning why the boyfriend would hide his HIV status. “For 11 months, you hid the fact that you are HIV positive and kept lying to this girl that you have a hole in your heart,” she said.
The consultant urged the lady to get tested for HIV immediately, and the results came back positive just hours later. “She tested positive just 20 minutes ago,” the consultant reported.
In the wake of the discovery, the consultant is urging women to be more proactive about their health and to question any medication their partners are taking. “If you see your boyfriend taking any medication, ask questions and do your research,” she advised, encouraging women to use AI or consult health professionals to learn more about unfamiliar drugs.
This incident serves as a stark reminder for women to prioritize their health and to be vigilant about the information their partners provide.
