The suit, filed over alleged Bloody Civilian defamatory statements made on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), demands an apology alongside monetary compensation.

The dispute stems from comments made by Bloody Civilian on November 22, 2024, in response to a celebratory post marking Helen Ukpabio’s 60th birthday. The original post by @onejoblessboy featured a photo of the evangelist with the caption: “Pastor Helen Ukpabio turns 60 today.”

In her reply, Bloody Civilian accused Ukpabio of endorsing controversial practices, referencing longstanding allegations and an alleged travel ban from the UK. These remarks reportedly prompted the Ukpabios to seek legal redress.

Reacting to the lawsuit, the singer took to social media to share her surprise, injecting humor into the situation. In a playful tweet, she joked about taking on extra gigs to cover the enormous legal demand.

“Guys, they just sued me for 200 billion naira. This December, I’ll be adding the following to my services: Weddings (preferably Yoruba), Naming ceremonies (no twins), Stand-up comedy, Club hosting, Birthday parties (no Gen Z), and Settling family disputes (no Benin people),” she wrote.

The lawsuit has sparked online debates, with fans and critics expressing mixed reactions to both the singer’s comments and her lighthearted response to the legal challenge.
