FG Announces Free Train Service For Holiday Travelers

The Federal Government has announced a free train service to assist Nigerians traveling during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Minister of Information, Idris Mohammed, revealed this decision on Monday, following the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This free train service will begin on December 20, 2024, and run until January 5, 2025. The government aims to ease transportation costs for citizens during the festive period, making travel more accessible and affordable.

The initiative is similar to one introduced last year, where the government also arranged for free luxury buses to help people travel more easily during the holidays.

The government encourages Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity as part of its efforts to ensure a smooth and enjoyable holiday season for citizens.
