Tinubu’s Spokesman On Indefinite Leave Speaks

The former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Bola Tinubu, Ajuri Ngelale who left the media space on the claim of going on an indefinite leave has expressed his gratitude to God. He made his appreciation to God while celebrating his 38th birthday on Wednesday.

In a post on his Facebook page, Ngelale updated his profile photo, which showed him with John Jerry, a former U.S. Secretary of State and Special Envoy on Climate Change, at a past event. Along with the photo, he wrote, “God Almighty has been faithful in my 38 years. Happy Holidays.”

On September 7, Ngelale stepped down from his role as Tinubu’s spokesman. He also resigned from his position as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.

A statement from the presidency revealed that Ngelale submitted a memo to Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, informing him of his decision to take an indefinite leave.

Ngelale explained that he stepped down to address medical issues affecting his immediate family.

GWG.ng reports that he stepped down amid controversies around him over the discharge of his duties both among colleagues and the public. Ajuri Ngelale had stepped down from his duties with the claim that he was proceeding on an indefinite leave.
