In a rare and heartwarming display of community service that will shock critics, the story of how Police officers in Lagos rescued a stranded female motorist in the early hours of Tuesday has emerged.
According to a report shared by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) via their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @rrslagos767, the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. at the Cement Bus Stop along the Lagos-Abeokuta highway. The lady’s vehicle had come to a halt after running out of fuel.
Fortunately for the driver, a police patrol team passing by noticed her predicament. Demonstrating commendable empathy and swift action, the officers provided five liters of fuel, allowing her to continue her journey safely to the nearest filling station.
The post read, “Around 4:00 a.m. today, our team met a lady whose vehicle ran out of fuel at Cement Bus Stop, Lagos-Abk highway. The team assisted her with 5 liters of fuel to enable her to get to the nearest filling station. The team wished her a lovely day and a blessed week and continued its patrol.”
