Pi Network KYC

The Pi Network team has released new updates and guidance to assist users struggling with Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification as the project nears a critical milestone.

The platform requires 15 million users to complete KYC and migrate to the mainnet by January 31. To date, over 9 million users have successfully migrated, but many are still facing challenges. The developers clarified that delays could be due to incomplete actions, urging users to complete additional steps when prompted.

Key Actions for Users

The team emphasized the importance of completing “liveness checks” to ensure clear video submissions. They advised users:
“When prompted in the mining app for additional liveness checks, complete them without closing the popup. Sign the token acknowledgment even if your KYC results are still pending, as this is essential for migration.”

Users must also secure their accounts and follow the Mainnet Checklist to finalize KYC and prepare for migration. These steps are necessary for a smooth transition to the mainnet.

Rising Popularity and Fraud Risks

Despite controversies, Pi Network has gained massive popularity, particularly in Asia, with over 100 million downloads worldwide. Its growth has also attracted scammers targeting the community.

To combat fraud, the team issued two warnings:

1. Trust only information from official Pi Network channels.

2. Use the official Pi Browser to access Pi Wallets. They highlighted that the legitimate Pi Wallet can be identified by a purple navigation bar with the Pi logo.

Conclusion

As Pi Network moves closer to its mainnet launch, users are encouraged to follow the provided guidelines to overcome KYC challenges. By completing required steps and staying vigilant against scams, they can ensure a successful migration to the mainnet.
